SecureMac has released a new version of their award winning privacy app, PrivacyScan 1.7. The latest version of the personal privacy application is optimized to work with Apple’s latest operating system Yosemite, adding features to securely wipe digital footprints left after using the computer and accessing the Internet. In this latest release, PrivacyScan adds support for Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) and also adds additional Firefox and Safari web browser support and fixes.
In honor of National Cyber Security Awareness Month for the month of October, PrivacyScan 1.7 is available for $2.99 USD (normally $14.99) in the Mac App Store Worldwide, for a limited time.
With Apple being under the microscope as it comes to privacy and security after the celebrity iCloud scandal to the widely discussed Spotlight security and privacy concerns with Yosemite it is even more important to take precautionary actions to stay protected.
How does PrivacyScan work?
PrivacyScan is like a private eye agent for your computer, identifying hidden threats that can compromise privacy when accessed by advertisers or snoopers trying to see user activity. It removes the internet clutter that accumulates in cache and history files while browsing the web and securely deletes the data. PrivacyScan covers the user’s digital tracks and saves valuable hard drive space by eliminating traces of which apps and files have been accessed.
Where can users get PrivacyScan and a free trial?
PrivacyScan 1.7 is available in the Mac App Store Worldwide, for a limited time price of $2.99 (normally $14.99). SecureMac offers a free 15-day fully functional demo available directly from the PrivacyScan website. Existing PrivacyScan users can upgrade to the latest version free of charge.
